Pensioners Forum - 26 June

Three Rivers is welcoming residents to the Pensioners’ Forum on Friday 26 June, from 2-4pm in the Penn Chamber at Three Rivers House in Rickmansworth. 

On the agenda will be Herts Highways, where you can learn more about the organisation responsible for maintaining and repairing roads and highways in the district.  The next presentation, Your Care, Your future sees the NHS talk about how we can all lead healthier lives and also meet people’s changing health and social care needs. In addition a speaker from Age UK Hertfordshire’s Healthwise scheme will speak about the service which helps to ensure that older people can continue to remain independent and to enjoy a healthy and happy life for as long as possible.

Pensioners, who attend, will also be able to enjoy Three Rivers Museum talking to members about the archives at the museum, including wonderful old films of the area, such as Rickmansworth Week in 1956. Lastly, a talk about how libraries are developing to ever-changing technological world.

The Pensioners’ Forum is a great way for residents in the district to meet and have their say on a range of issues and find out what’s happening in their area. It is also a good chance to have some tea, cake and a chat! The ever-popular forum has a high recorded attendance and they are able to listen to the wide variety of speakers at Pensioners Forum, and then hold a question and answer session with the speakers.
