More than 50 competitors took centre stage in a thrilling series of scooting, skateboarding and BMX contests.

Spectators were treated to an action-packed display of daring tricks, impressive flips and outstanding talent from everyone who took part.

Skate Jam, organised by Three Rivers District Council with support from ABC Skateboarding, and sponsored by Croxley Green Parish Council, took place on 30 August at Croxley Skate Park in Baldwins Lane, Croxley Green.

The Chair of Three Rivers District Council, Cllr Keith Martin, attended the event and adding extra star power to the occasion, McFly singer Tom Fletcher joined the celebrations and kindly presented prizes to the winners. Alongside the competitions, there was music, inflatable fun and meal deals provided by The Corner Plaice.

Cllr Chris Lloyd, the council’s Lead Member for Leisure, who also attended the event, said: “What an incredible event! I was truly impressed by the talent and skill of the competitors.

“I want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved, including ABC Skateboarding for expertly leading the day’s competitions, Croxley Green Parish Council for its generous contribution towards the prizes, and The Corner Plaice for their discounted meal deals. I am very grateful that the weather was dry on Sunday”.
