During sepsis awareness month, the visitor centre in Three Rivers House, Northway, Rickmansworth, will be hosting a cake sale on Tuesday 1 September (11:30am - 2pm) where all funds raised will go to the Chair of Three Rivers District Council’s chosen charity, The UK Sepsis Trust.

UK Sepsis Trust aims to end preventable deaths and improve outcomes for sepsis survivors while raising awareness of this serious condition. Sepsis is a life-threatening response to an infection and kills more people than breast cancer and prostate cancer.

While raising funds for the charity, the sale also provides an opportunity for purchasers to learn the signs of the condition. The council’s Healthy Hub team will also be there to provide health and well-being advice and guidance.
