Game on for new sports website

Emma Robinson21st September 2009

A brand new website has been launched to promote sport and physical activity across the Three Rivers district this week.

Residents can now search for sports clubs, activities and projects in their local area all in one place, by visiting the Three Rivers Community Sports Network website - Key features include a Club Search facility, a What’s On guide and an interactive Sports Blog where residents can share opinions on topical issues.

Residents are encouraged to log on and find out what’s going on in their local area. Residents who register their details before the end of November are in with a chance of winning a Nintendo Wii games console! Clubs are also encouraged to register their details and pay a visit to the Club Support pages, which will keep them up-to-date with grants news and useful information.

Development of the site was funded by Sport England, contributing towards its goal 'to build a world-leading community sport system of clubs, coaches, facilities and volunteers'.

The Three Rivers Sports Network is a partnership of organisations, clubs and individuals all with an interest in developing sport and physical activity in the district of Three Rivers. Key partners are Three Rivers District Council, the Three Rivers and Watford School Sports Partnership, the Herts Sports Partnership, Hertsmere Leisure, YMCA Watford and the Three Rivers Volunteer Centre.
