It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

10th November 2015

Rickmansworth is getting set to enjoy the festive season with the launch of the town’s festive Christmas Evening on Friday 27 November 2015, organised by the Rickmansworth Town Team.

ricky-xmas-evening.jpgThe popular annual family fun day, that attracts thousands of visitors to the town, will include an exciting range of afternoon attractions from 5pm to 9pm and includes children’s rides, Santa’s grotto and many other activities.  This year’s festivities will also include a bustling market with lots of Christmas treats.

The entertainment commences at 5:00pm in the town centre and includes the traditional parade that comes through the High Street at 5:40pm. The event will officially start at 6:00pm when the cast of this year's pantomime Cinderella will open the Christmas Evening, so look out for Prince Charming, The Ugly Sisters and of course Cinderella herself.

To stimulate shopping activity as well as helping everyone get into the festive spirit, William Penn Leisure Centre have kindly sponsored the illuminations for Rickmansworth Town Centre, helping to contribute to the vitality of the area during the important festive period.

William Penn Leisure Centre is run by Hertsmere Leisure, who maintains several facilities in Three Rivers including Rickmansworth Golf Course, Sir James Altham Pool and The Centre. The centres will be sure to keep you active over the Christmas period with their various offers and special events.

This will bring an added sparkle to the Town at this time of year. I know our residents love this popular annual event, and I am sure this will be another great evening. I will also like to thank the Rickmansworth Town Team and the volunteers for organising the event.”

Thanks to generous donations from Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, Robsons Estate Agents and other local businesses, roads in central Rickmansworth which are at the centre of the celebrations, will be formally closed to traffic from 3pm to 10pm.
