Three Rivers pensioners chance to have their say - 19 February

Three Rivers is welcoming residents to the Pensioners’ Forum on 19 February 2016, from 2-4pm in the Penn Chamber at Three Rivers House in Rickmansworth. 

On the agenda will be local journalist Michael Knowles, from the Watford Observer, talking to Pensioners’ Forum members about being a local journalist and ‘a day in the newsroom’. The next presentation, will involve the Deputy Lieutenant, Stuart Nagler JP DL, talking about the Lieutenancy and what is being planned for HM’s 90th Birthday.

In addition, the ‘The History of Leavesden’ will feature at the forum, with Martin Brooks talking about Leavesden Hospital and the Aerodrome. Lastly, Ernie Gray from the Rickmansworth Bowls Club will be providing a background of the sport and the club, which has both a ladies and men’s sections.

The Pensioners’ Forum is a great way for residents in the district to meet and have their say on a range of issues and find out what’s happening in their area. It is also a good chance to have some tea, cake and a chat! The ever-popular forum has a high recorded attendance and they are able to listen to the wide variety of speakers at Pensioners Forum, and then hold a question and answer session with the speakers.
