The cast is headed up this year by Sue Holderness, best known for playing Marlene opposite John Challis’ Boycie in Only Fools and Horses. Sue will be playing Malevolent, the wicked fairy whose evil plans leave the Prince not quite feeling himself.

Sue has appeared in many theatre productions including the hugely successful tour of Calendar Girls before Boycie and Marlene were reunited in a brand new Only Fools spin-off, The Green Green Grass, which ran for four series.

Joining her, as Dame Derriere and Fairy Formidable are Kieran Sutcliffe and Sarah Jameson. Kieran and Sarah are best known for their appearances on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent. They sang Love Changes Everything in their first audition and booked their place in the semi-finals. They blew audiences away with their performance of Barcelona and even Simon Cowell had something positive to say!

The pair haven’t stopped working since BGT. Both are trained in musical theatre and perform as an opera and classical crossover duo all over the world. They have also firmly established themselves in pantoland over recent years, but Beauty and the Beast is a first for them.

Comedian and actor, Dave Bibby comes to Watersmeet direct from his successful Edinburgh Festival show to play the role of Potty Pierre – the pot washer at the Prince’s castle who becomes Beauty’s faithful friend. The cast is completed by West End star Katie Ray as our heroine, Beauty. Katie has just completed a UK tour of Million Dollar Quartet as Dyanne, Elvis’ girlfriend and previous West End roles include Truly Scrumptious (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Liesl (The Sound of Music) and the Narrator in Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

This star-studded cast will be supported by a professional dance ensemble plus 16 local young dancers. Bigger, better and beastlier than any panto seen in Rickmansworth, Beauty and the Beast will not disappoint with live music, wonderful sets, beautiful costumes and rip-roaring adventure in true panto style!
