Mindfulness and Creativity

17th January 2019

The arrival of a new year brings with it an introduction to creative mindfulness, with Artistsmeet’s current exhibitor Anna Schofield. You can explore collage and decoupage by decorating a personal object that you can take away with you.

Cllr Chris Lloyd, Lead Member for Leisure said: “I had the opportunity to meet Anna at the launch event last week. In two sessions, you can learn about mindfulness and how it can be easily incorporated into your daily life, take part in a short, mindful meditation and get creative!”

Intuitive and experimental, Anna’s thoughts and emotions are reflected in her paintings and collages, telling the story of her journey from a lost soul towards a whole and fulfilled being.

Anna began painting in 2014 as a way of self-healing and discovered that she was able to explore and express emotions which aided her journey to recovery. A true believer in the healing power of art, she has a real passion for sharing her work and encouraging others to use creativity to explore and process their own emotions.

Anna uses acrylic, decoupage, collage, gilding and upcycling to express and reflect emotions

and mood. Anna is a keen recycler, environmental champion and honoured winner of Dacorum’s individual Clean, Safe and Green Community award, in recognition of her work locally.
