Arrangements for brown bin removal
31st August 2016
On 11 July 2016, collections of garden waste became a subscription only service, meaning that only brown bins that are paid for and displaying the sticker (sent to people upon payment) will be emptied.
If you are not paying for the garden waste service, Three Rivers District Council is making arrangements to remove unwanted brown bins. If you wish for your brown bin to be removed, please ensure it is empty and on the boundary. If the bin contains waste of any sort it will not be taken. The Council is also encouraging all residents to place their house name/number on each bin.
The brown bins remain the property of the Council and will be collected from your property during September as follows:
- Week commencing 5 Sept – South Oxhey, Carpenders Park, Northwood, Oxhey Hall, Moor Park
- Week commencing 12 Sept – Rickmansworth, Mill End, Maple Cross, West Hyde
- Week commencing 19 Sept– Croxley Green, Loudwater, Chorleywood
- Week commencing 26 Sept – Bedmond, Abbots Langley, Leavesden, Sarratt, Garston, Kings Langley
If you have not signed up to the scheme, but would like more information, please visit www.threerivers.gov.uk/egcl-page/brown-bins. If you choose not to subscribe, then you can either take your garden waste to a Household Waste Recycling Centre or compost it at home. It should not be placed in your refuse bin.
