Summer of award shortlistings for TRDC

Emma Robinson09th September 2009

Three Rivers District Council's waste services team has been shortlisted for three national awards this year.

The National Recycling Awards has shortlisted Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) for awards in two categories: Local Authority Team of the Year and Innovation in Health and Safety Practises. These awards recognise examples of excellence in recycling work across every sector and throughout the country, and the standard is high.

The Parks and Grounds team is also up for an award to recognise its high calibre work across the district, having been nominated for an APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) award in the category of Best Service Team: Parks, Grounds and Horticultural.

Competition in these award categories is stiff; but the waste services team is no stranger to success, having won Recycling Crew of the Year at 2008's Let' awards and Recycling Officer of the Year for Environmental Projects Officer Jennie Moore in 2006.

Ceremonies for the awards will take place throughout September and October, so watch this space for an update on how TRDC fares!
