Play golf for a good cause

The Chair of Three Rivers District Council is hoping for a ‘tee-rific’ turnout when he hosts an 18-hole golf event to further support a local football club and a worthwhile cause.
Residents, visitors and local organisations are warmly invited to join Cllr Stephen King at Rickmansworth Golf Course on Saturday 14 March to raise money for The Ehlers-Danlos Society and the Oxhey Jets Football Club.
The Ehlers-Danlos Society is a global organisation that supports the advancement and acceleration of research and education in Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) – a group of 13 heritable connective tissue disorders. The Oxhey Jets is a semi-professional football club for all ages based in South Oxhey.
Cllr King said: “It will be a fun and competitive day with the money going to good causes. These organisations are close to my heart as some of my family members sadly suffer from EDS and the Oxhey Jets have been absolutely amazing for our young people. I would like to thank Rickmansworth Golf Course for hosting us and the officers for helping me in organising the event.
“I will still be hosting the annual Chair Quiz night at the Penn Chamber at the council’s head officer in Rickmansworth on 17 April. We will let everyone know when tickets are on sale.”
The golf event costs £60 per person and includes a breakfast roll at 8am before a ‘shot gun’ style tee-off and lunch after the round. Teams must have four players per group. Individual bookings are welcome and will be placed into a team.
