Information on our moving mum programme that aims to get mums and babies to enjoy the benefits of exercise together

Run in partnership with Mums of Steel, our Moving Mums programme gets mums and babies to enjoy the benefits of exercise together.

Classes are taught by qualified post-natal instructors and are fun for both mums and babies. It brings mums to a great social environment while still being able to bond with baby and get fit!

Bring Baby Yoga

This is a postnatal friendly class for mums where you get the convenience of bringing baby with you.

Come prepared with a blanket or mat for baby to lay on as well as toys or snacks or whatever you need.

Babies get the best seat in the house watching you practice yoga.

This yoga session is an all levels Hatha yoga class and will take you through postures to help you strengthen, lengthen and improve core stability.

Bring Baby Boxercise

Punch your way back to fitness with our Bring Baby Boxing Sessions.

This fun class will help you get fit, meet other mums and enjoy some fresh air whilst doing some different boxing drills.

Bring your baby to exercise with you as we power walk babies in-between drills to keep them happy.

All you need to do is turn up with a mat to lay on for our famous mummy tummy section at the end all other equipment is provided.

Stroller Strength Fitness

Get some fresh air while you get fit! The best part is baby gets the best seat in the house warm and cosy in the pram. This is a one hour class that intermixes walking, resistance exercises and mummy tummy toning all in one great class.  Meet other mums, have fun and get fit.

Our Stroller Strength classes combine walking with the pram and stopping to do post-natal specific toning exercises and we always finish with our tummy and pelvic floor exercises at the end so be sure to bring a mat or towel with you.

What else do I need to know?

  • Specific exercises focus on stomach muscles and pelvic floor work.
  • Classes are available for all levels of fitness.
  • You should have approval from your midwife or doctor and be at least 6 weeks post natal for a natural birth or 10 weeks post c section to participate.
  • Babies need to be at least 6 weeks old and up. If you have had a C-Section you should be 10 weeks post natal. We accept children up to 5 years old.
  • For our outdoor classes where a stroller is involved you will need to make sure baby is content to sit in a stroller for at least an hour.
  • For outdoor classes we will teach during cloud, wind and rain. Remember we go rain or shine. If the weather is extremely bad the class maybe cancelled.
  • Your baby is your first priority. If they become fussy you are encouraged to take your time and soothe your baby. Do not worry about disturbing other class mates as they are all mums in the same boat.
