Salary Range: (MG3) £53,883 - £62,421 per annum plus essential car user allowance.
Full Time, Permanent.
Three Rivers District Council is looking for an experienced waste, streets and grounds manager to join the team at our new depot in Rickmansworth.
We run a well-regarded Waste and Street Cleansing service and had the highest recycling rate in England in 2019/20, at 64.1%, and have consistently achieved top ten status for many years.
Our Grounds Maintenance team works closely with the Leisure department, also under the Head of Community Services, to look after our four Green Flag parks and two cemeteries, as well as the other open spaces and play areas in the district.
Our new manager will lead both the operational and strategic branches of the service to ensure satisfaction remains high, residents remain engaged and any changes required as part of the Resources & Waste Strategy, are implemented smoothly.
The Role: This role offers the opportunity to work in the Environmental Protection Department.
You will work with all operational services including; Waste, Street cleansing and Grounds Maintenance, Cemeteries as well as Waste Strategy and Support, Environmental Enforcement and Animal Welfare & Licensing.
This post holder is responsible for the line management of the Services Manager and the Environmental Strategy Manager.
What we are looking for:-You will have a degree or appropriate professional management qualification or experience at management level, along with experience of Local Government. You will have membership of Chartered Institute of Waste Management. Excellent IT skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office packages.
You will need a current driving licence and access to own transport.
