The Noise App


The app allows you to make short audio recordings of the noise and enter details about the nature of the disturbance using your smartphone which then combine to make an electronic noise diary. This can then easily be sent to the Council's Environmental Health Service for investigation by submitting the complaint via the app. You can download the app for free using your smartphone here:

Get your air pollution alerts with airText

widgetimage-wide-300x100-generic-png.PNGThree Rivers District Council have launched the airText service within the district. This is a free air pollution forecasting and alert system for Greater London and neighbouring Councils.

The service can help at-risk individuals to make informed health decisions and assist them in planning for the day ahead to ensure they have any necessary medication at hand.

airText is a service that allows users to access air pollution, UV, pollen and temperature forecasts. Users can receive daily alerts by SMS, email or voicemail. In addition forecasts for the next three days can be accessed via the website, using the free airText smart phone app or by following the Twitter account airtext_3RIVERS.



A free app called "Fix my Street" is available on smart phones, androids and tablets and can be downloaded now! Simply search for “Fix my Street” in your app store. This app enables the user to report a range of issues, (including fly tipping, graffiti, abandoned trolleys etc.) by taking a picture of the situation that requires reporting and submitting this. The location will be recorded when submitting the picture and this information will be used to send the report to the relevant Council.

Alternatively you can visit to report issues and provide the required information, which will also be sent to the relevant Council.

notice-herts-image-tablet-and-mobile-2.jpgA new smartphone and tablet app is available for residents in Three Rivers, Dacorum, Watford and East Herts.  The app has been funded by the government as part of a range of pilot projects around the country.

The app includes:

  • Map-based notices of planning applications, road changes and licensing applications
  • Local emergency services.
  • Local events and places of interest. 
  • Approved local tradespeople.

Notice Herts is available on Android and iOS, from Google Play or the Apple Store and more content will be added during the coming weeks.
