The Government has announced a new package to support and enforce self-isolation.
You can now apply on-line for a Test and Trace Support Payment (standard scheme) by clicking here.
Whilst we can accept applications now, payments will not commence until we have published our Test & Trace Support Payment Policy on this page. We expect this to be in place by 12.10.2020.
The Discretionary Test & Trace Support Payment application form and corresponding policy will also be available on this web page from 12.10.2020.

There are three simple actions we must all do to keep on protecting each other.
- Wash hands > keep washing your hands regularly
- Cover face > wear a face covering in enclosed spaces
- Make space > stay at least 2 metres apart - or 1 metre with a face covering or other precautions

Foodbanks give three days of emergency food to local people in crisis. In Three Rivers we have the Rickmansworth Foodbank and Watford Foodbank.
The Rickmansworth Foodbank is run by the Mill End Community Trust. It operates at various locations and times across Three Rivers. Please visit the website for more information www.rickmansworth.foodbank.org.uk. Donations are welcomed.

Watford and Three Rivers Trust (W3RT)
W3RT has a volunteer personal shopping service if you are unable to leave the home a volunteer can do your shopping or pick up medicines for you. For help complete a request support form.
Herts Help can register you for a DEFRA account, this will give you a priority slot with either Tesco or Iceland. You can register on the Herts Help online request form or you can visit www.hertshelp.net, email email@example.com or call Herts Help on 0300 123 4044. Herts Help has now moved to a seven-day service, 8am to 8pm every day.
Three Rivers District Council
We can also support people with numbers for telephone deliveries and link them up with volunteers, as well as our crisis pathway for those that are unable to afford food.
If you need support for food, essential supplies, walking a dog, or just need someone to talk to on a regular basis because you are on your own, you can register on the Council’s request support form or by ringing our Customer Service Centre on 01923 776611. Our call centre is open:
- Monday - Thursday 8.30-5.30
- Friday - 8.30-5.00
- Saturday and Sunday CLOSED
All requests received online will be processed by Watford and Three Rivers Trust within 24 hours.
Three Rivers District Council is working in partnership with Watford and 3 Rivers Trust to deliver services to people in our District. Details will be shared with them to respond to. They can arrange for:
- Emergency food supplies and prescription deliveries
- Support in getting food and other essentials delivered
- Support walking dogs
- Ongoing telephone support work
You will be contacted by Watford and Three Rivers Trust in the first place, and then matched with the most appropriate support service.
There are several Covid-19 support volunteer groups working across the District to help vulnerable residents. Contact details for each group can be found here.
There is a wide range of support provided by W3RT to the local community. This includes support to vulnerable and isolated adults through regular wellbeing calls. Providing advice to the local Covid area support groups. Coordinating personal shopping and dog walking. For help and advice complete a request support form.
Anyone currently using a social care service should expect that to continue. If you encounter issues you should speak to your current care provider first or call Hertfordshire Adult Social Services on 0300 123 4042 for other urgent care needs.
Schools have reopened to all age groups in England.

There is lots of support available with lots of activities shifting online from quizzes and coffee mornings to book clubs and befriending services and even details on how to set up your own group.
