The Role: Revenues Inspector
Salary: £25,673 to £27,873
Three Rivers and Watford Shared Service
As a Revenues Inspector, you will visit and inspect properties in the Three Rivers and Watford area, to ensure that Council Tax and Business Rates are correctly assessed and charged.
Responsibilities will include:
•Visits to both domestic and commercial properties
•Arranging appointments with Landlords, agents, home and business owners, etc to gain access to premises
•Liaising with other agencies e.g.; The Valuation Office Agency and other departments within the Council
•Regular inspections of properties or sites that have been given planning permission to carry out works that will affect either database.
•To provide reports that assist towards keeping both the Council Tax and Business Rates databases up to date
•To establish liability, entitlement, to exemptions, discounts and reliefs
Your experience will include:
•Good communication skills
•Good presentation skills
•Able to work with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness
You will also need a full driver's license and access to a vehicle.
