Three Rivers District in South West Hertfordshire straddles the north west corner of the M25 on the edge of Greater London. The area has a diverse range of sectors and businesses and is a centre for the film industry with Warner Brothers at Leavesden forming part of a studio cluster along with Elstree and Pinewood is a short drive away.

The Team:-
The Property Services Team comprises Estates & Asset Management, Facilities Management and Major Projects functions and provides a multi-disciplinary professional service which leads on all property matters for the Council.

In addition to actively managing the Council’s property investments, income producing estate and development schemes, it also maintains responsibility for statutory compliance and property health & safety. The Property Service also leads on the development and delivery of major projects across the District, these include projects such as the South Oxhey Regeneration Initiative, but also projects such as the transformation and better utilisation of the corporate estate.

As an active service leading on property projects and initiatives, the Property Service also provides support to other Services within the Council to add value and assist with emerging projects and schemes.

The Role:-
The Property & Asset Manager role is an integral part of the Property & Facilities Team. Providing advice, guidance & expertise and ensuring the smooth running and operation of the Council's asset portfolio. The role is diverse, often challenging and always rewarding. No two days will ever be the same and you will be
part of an evolving and modernising service. You will lead on the utilisation of the new property management system and ensure that its benefits are fully maximised.

You will undertake a broad range of estates management, lease, valuation and commercial property activities and support the Head of Property & Economic Growth in delivering a range of strategic objectives in line with the Councils Corporate Strategy.

You will take responsibility for financial and budget management of the Council's property assets, including maximising income opportunities, minimising expenditure and helping to shape and deliver a modern, fit for purpose Property Service.

What we are looking for:-
We are looking for a highly motivated, well organised and focussed individual, who can bring a positive, 'can do' attitude to their work. We want to appoint a candidate with vision, commitment and capability to see such changes through.

You will be a qualified Chartered Surveyor of either MRICS or FRICS designation and will have a comprehensive understanding of the Property industry, a proven track record of success and an extensive professional knowledge, particularly in the field of Estates and Property Management.

The role is diverse and we are looking for someone who can adapt and embrace change, focus on finding solutions and ensure that the Council's assets are fully utilised to the benefit of our residents, businesses and taxpayers.

What we offer:-
A competitive salary of £55,808 to £64,346 per annum
