Covid-19: NHS parking pass scheme

NHS parking passes, issued by the government via NHS Trusts, entitled free parking for those on duty as an NHS staff member, health or social care worker, or NHS Volunteer Responder. This was to enable them to access parking in local authority-owned off-street car parks and on-street bays during the Covid-19 emergency response period.

Permits were withdrawn by the government as of 21 June 2021, but Three Rivers District Council extended the period that permits are valid in order to assist NHS workers during the easing of restrictions.

Now that restrictions have been lifted, as of 1 October 2021 permits will no longer be accepted by Three Rivers District Council. As an alternative, pass holders are encouraged to apply through their organisation for a doctor or health visitor permit.
