Families in Focus

Families in Focus offer FREE online accredited, evidence based courses to parents across Hertfordshire. Courses are funded by HCC so free for parents living in Hertfordshire. Courses are accredited by CANparent as being evidence based and effective and they have a proven track record of delivering courses that have a positive effect on family life.

Disability Watford 

Disability Watford is a Watford and Three Rivers based information and support group for people with disability.

It is a united voice for disabled people, their families and carer’s working together to influence local decision making and striving to remove physical, communicational and attitudinal barriers. To keep up with all the latest news please click here to subscribe to their email newsletter. Watford MENCAP

Watford Mencap work on supporting people with a learning disability, and their families and carers. For more information and support they can be contacted on the following:

Herts Help

Herts Help is a free and confidential information service, providing easy access to the wide range of support offered by organisations across the county. They offer independent support, guidance and information and can be contacted on:

Herts Help is available or residents who are self-isolating and in need of support on mental wellbeing, receiving a phone call, as well as food and medication collection or delivery. They are also a signposting and advice service which can help direct people to the right support. For support please call 0300 123 4044 or email info@hertshelp.net.  


Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) Adult Care Services

The HCC website offers a range of information regarding adult social services. For more information and support they can be contacted on the following:

Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Services (HAFLS)

HAFLS Building Better Opportunities (BBO) programme helps you gain employment and skills mentoring support, the projects are continuing to run during this period and BBO mentors are providing support to participants either online or via the phone. Three Rivers Leisure

The Three Rivers District Council Leisure Team offers a number of inclusive activities available to those of differing abilities under the ‘Get Set’ banner. For more information and support they can be contacted on the following:

Kings Langley

The Waterside Centre is a registered charity which provides social, educational and training opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. For more information and support they can be contacted on the following:

South Oxhey

ASCEND

ASCEND are a charity based out of All Saints Church Centre, Gosforth Lane, South Oxhey. They work hard to support its local community, offering services such as courses, many of which are available for all abilities. They keep their Facebook Page updated regularly.
