Household Support Fund

Three Rivers District Council have received funding from the UK Governments Household Support Fund, which aims to help families and households most in need. The fund is designed to help ease financial pressures on residents by providing short-term help with food, fuel bills and other essentials to those who need it.

A proportion of the fund will be ring-fenced to support households with children. The funding scheme runs until 31st March 2023 or until all funds have been allocated, whichever is the earlier.

Three Rivers District Council are working with local partners and organisations to provide this support to residents on the council’s behalf.

The Household Support Fund provides assistance to households who live in Three Rivers and are:

  • Suffering from either food or fuel poverty
  • Facing immediate financial difficulties
  • Struggling to pay essential household bills

The grant can help households who may struggle to pay for basic living costs this winter, through providing support with:

  • Food vouchers
  • Energy/ utility and water bills
  • Essentials linked to the above, e.g. sanitary products, warm clothing, blankets, bedding, school uniforms.
  • Purchase of equipment, including fridges, freezers and ovens
