Head of Finance

Job Title: Head of Finance – Job Ref. RG0501   

Hours and Duration:Full time, permanent.

Department/Service: Finance

Salary: £66,424 to £70,693 inclusive

The Role:-

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of the entire finance service for Three Rivers District Council and Watford Borough Council. Previous experience of running a finance service in a complex organisation (preferably local government) is preferred. 

The role holder will be required to lead and manage the finance service.  You will be expected to provide efficient and effective customer focused results.  You will also be required to develop and lead the implementation of the finance strategy and take forward the development of  the finance service.

You will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and be a problem solver.  This will require you to be highly motivated and constantly driving for improvement in service delivery.  You will work closely with members and senior officers of the Councils to ensure that they effectively manage their financial resources.

Qualified CCAB Accountant (preferably CIPFA) would be beneficial.

Three Rivers District in Rickmansworth, South West Hertfordshire, straddles the north west corner of the M25 on the edge of Greater London.
