Grass Cutting

The grass cutting of verges and vision splays is the responsibility of Hertfordshire County Council who can be contacted on 0300 123 4047.

Traditionally the first cut takes place during the second week in March and the final cut during the last two in October. Although there is a planned schedule for grass cutting, the grass cannot be cut if it is extremely wet (it causes mud to churn up).

The grass cutting of all housing areas, Batchworth Heath and a small number of amenity verges is the responsibility of the Environmental Protection.
