Our Customer Service Centre has taken a number of calls regarding Giant hogweed. Giant hogweed is often confused with common hogweed, cow parsley, elderflower or bishop's lace. However it can be set apart by its purple-hued stem, thin spines and leaf stalks covered in spots.
Our grounds maintenance team will be vigilant when inspecting parks and open spaces.
More information about Giant hogweed is available on the Royal Horticultural Society website
