Three Rivers District in South West Hertfordshire straddles the north west corner of the M25 on the edge of Greater London. The district is a mixture of beautiful countryside, villages and small towns. The area has a diverse range of sectors and businesses and is a centre for the film industry with Warner Brothers at Leavesden forming part of a studio cluster along with Elstree and Pinewood is a short drive away.

The role
At Three Rivers District Council we are working to transform the customer experience by putting the customer at the heart of everything we do. We are currently developing a new website to enhance our online services.
In this role you will work with the Communications team and services across the council to plan, update and develop web content that puts the needs of the customer first. You will work with colleagues from a wide range of services to review existing content, editing and rewriting to ensure a consistent tone of voice that conveys information as simply as possible, while supporting the council’s aims and objectives.
You will need to be self-motivated and able to manage your own workload. It’s essential that you can look at our content with a fresh pair of eyes and see things from the perspective of our customers. You will have great people skills to work with teams across the council, but must not be afraid to challenge.
Key skills and requirements
Excellent spelling and grammar
Creative writing skills with ability to write in Plain English
Journalistic background preferred
Experience in CMS content publication
Attention to detail
Able to manage own workload and be a self-starter
People skills, working with a wide range of council services
Location
The service is based at Three Rivers House in Rickmansworth where we operate a hybrid working approach. We welcome applications for the role from remote workers.
Salary
£250 per day for up to 8 weeks.
Hours
Monday to Friday, full time.
