Festivals, Fairs and Fetes
Three Rivers has a vibrant community and in the district there are many events that showcase the lively and active atmosphere. To help keep you up-to date with community events that occur annually, you can read the list of events below.
South Oxhey Fun Day (December and June)
Watford Rural Parish Council organise the fun day for their residents and visitors to South Oxhey, with a variety of stalls and a number of games and rides included. The events includes free entrance, rides, games, stalls and raffle.

Mill End Community Centre Celebration Day (May)
Held in the Community Centre, and as well as the usual stalls and attractions of a summer fete, the Community Day also promotes the history of the area.

Ricky Week & Rickmansworth Canal Festival (May)
Attracts crowds of around 30,000 people, the Rickmansworth stretch of the Grand Union Canal plays host to the incredibly popular annual heritage event and fun fair. The Rickmansworth Festival takes place on the third weekend of May every year and celebrates canals, the community and the environment. The top attraction for many is the wonderful array of canal boats from across the country, but there are things to do, see and enjoy whatever your interests, and whatever your age. You’ll find a range of music and performing arts, displays and presentations, traders, boats and catering.

Abbots Langley Carnival (June)
Head to the Abbots Langley High Street to enjoy some carnival atmosphere at the village's annual carnival. Parade travels through the streets from School Mead to the High Street and includes plenty of attractions, including many fun fair activities, it is one of the Parish’s most popular events of the year.

Croxley Revels on the Green (June)
The event stages all manner of entertainment and activities from judo exhibitions to Morris dancers; the school’s Pushball tournament to Maypole dancing. The Revels Princess is paraded in the grand procession around the village. Periphery interests include children’s funfair; story telling, roving jazz band; classic vehicles and bicycles. All the fun of the fair! As people roam the Revels site they are exposed to stalls and entertainments run by most of the local clubs, societies and local charities.

The Woodoaks Association Community Summer Festival (July)
The Woodoaks Association host a community summer festival at Woodoaks Farm - a day out for the entire family. Events will include local stalls and sellers, live music, food and drink, games and sport activities, theatre shows and production plus heritage walks,

Chorleywood Village Day (July)
Held on the Chorleywood Common, the village day is enjoyed by the whole community with stalls, rides and activities and the popular Dog Show.

Chorleywood Classic & Supercar Show (July)
The free show is open to many types of vehicles, including classic and vintage cars, modern super cars and kit cars.

The Rickmansworth Folk Festival (July)
In the town centre with its colourful programme of folk related entertainment. A‘ Month of Folk’ with a myriad of fabulous events taking place at different venues and dates around the town.

Annual Skate Jam (August)
The Croxley Skatepark is a popular destination for young people and hosts its annual skate and BMX Jam. The Jams gives young people the chance to enjoy the thrill of the ride and watch the skills demonstrated from the other riders. Skaters, bladers, scooters and BMK riders are also included in these exciting competitions to pit their skills on the ramps, grind rails and half pipes.

Croxfest (September)
Croxfest is a yearly music festival in Croxley Green held on The Green. It is free for all to attend – enjoy a varied line-up of acts in a family-friendly atmosphere. The event includes local music and is a great day out to attend and support local talent. The event also helps raise money for local charities through donations.

Carters Steam Fair with Croxley Classic's on the Green (September)
The much-loved steam powered fun fair. The use of Croxley Green, the longest Green in England, provides a great atmosphere for a traditional steam fair and classic car show.

The Sarratt Festival of Music (September)
Held at Sarratt Village Hall, the event features classical and contemporary music from musicians of the highest calibre.

The Chorleywood Apple Orchard has an annual public apple day with lots of traditional English varieties, stalls and games

Chorleywood Literary Festival (November)
The week long involves numerous activities organised by the Chorleywood Bookshop, who were awarded winner of Vintage's Independent Bookshop of the Year. This includes workshops and readings from famous and popular authors.
