Council tax discounts and exemptions

You may be eligible for a discount if:

• You live alone or share your home with exempt adults
• You or a member of your household is disabled
• You or a member of your household is on a low income

You can find out more about the circumstances which make a property eligible for an exemption from paying council tax.

Appeal a decision

If you have been awarded council tax support but disagree with the decision we have made you can write to us at Three Rivers House, Northway, Rickmansworth, WD3 1RL.

When we have looked at it again, we will send you our decision. If you still disagree, you have the right to appeal to an independent body, the Valuation Tribunal.

You will need to fill in an appeal form which you can do at www.valuationtribunal.gov.uk You must send your appeal to the tribunal within two months of the date of our decision notice.
