The Role:- Desktop Support Engineer (Two posts)

Watford is an ambitious council that thinks big and lives up to its motto of being bold. Over a two year period, the Council has committed to undertake Service Innovations across the organisation and the ICT service plays a key part in underpinning those.

Our internal ICT Service has almost completed the delivery of a “ground up” infrastructure refresh across two local authorities. Implementing technologies such as Nimble, ComVault, cloud based technologies, a large OS refresh across the server and desktop estate. What we are looking for:-

An energetic, dynamic, autonomous individual with a passion for delivering great ICT services. This role is a 2nd and 3rd line hands on role. You will be an excellent and considerate team member, with first class customer service and communication skills.

You will take complete end to end ownership of incidents and service requests as well as managing major incidents with our key partners. Driving efficient delivery and service through our partners is a key aspect to this role.

We have a large and varied line of business applications estate, you will be able to logically work through a variety of information and technologies in order to move an issue forward, with the skills to work with a variety of technical teams, both in-house and outsourced.
