Corporate Communications Lead
Three Rivers District in South West Hertfordshire straddles the north west corner of the M25 on the edge of Greater London. The Department:-
Communications & Digital Services sits within the Customer Experience Service, which is made up of Communications & Digital Services, the Customer Service Centre and Watersmeet Theatre.
The Role:-
Reporting to the Head of Customer Experience, as the Corporate Communications Lead you will lead and manage the Communications and Digital Services Team in this exciting time of change as we develop and deliver our new Customer Experience Strategy and Communications Strategy. A major part of this project is the launch of a new council website improving the way our customers and residents access council services and the way we communicate with them. Engaging and working with stakeholders, you will play a key role in the promotion and development of our digital presence and reach, highlighting the fantastic work of all council services.
What we are looking for:-
We are looking for a communications specialist with a background in journalism, media, or communications, with significant experience in a lead communications role. You will have a proven track record of leading a communications team, and excel at both proactive and reactive communications. You will be experienced at balancing strategic communications projects, and identifying the most appropriate platform to gain maximum exposure for the council's news and stories, with, responding to enquiries from the media as they arise. You will be a talented wordsmith with excellent use of language and a skilled communicator both in written and oral form. Presentation skills and the ability to influence and persuade will be essential, as will an understanding and experience of working within a political environment, the complexities involved, and the need for sensitivity and discretion.
The role will involve a mix of remote and office working. As a guide you will be required to attend the office in Rickmansworth at least one day per week. You will be expected to attend local events and council and committee meetings as required, some of which will be in the evenings and weekends.

Salary range £47,282-£55,808
