The Role

The role of assistant finance manager is one of three at this grade and this particular role is working within the Financial Planning and Analysis team, which is responsible for the annual budget setting process, budget monitoring, business case analysis and management accounting services (at each Council).  Duties also include supporting the annual closing of the accounts and system support to the Councils’ ledgers.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an ambitious qualified/passed finalist or part-qualified accountant or senior accounting technician (AAT Technician or equivalent) to work within a busy team supporting two councils in South West Hertfordshire.   Local government accounting experience is desirable but not essential.
