Help keep our countryside beautiful by getting involved in community litter picks.

How to get involved

If you would like to organise a pick and borrow equipment, please contact us at enquiries@threerivers.gov.uk.

We encourage people to lead their own litter picks throughout the year, to help keep our community clean. You can borrow the equipment from us, and we will collect the litter afterwards.

Three Rivers District Council supports the Great British September Clean 2020 - a national litter picking campaign by Keep Britain Tidy. The Great British Spring Clean is about demonstrating that you love where you live – whether that’s by pledging to pick while you’re walking the dog, taking the kids to school, or hosting a clean-up.

This year, due to Covid, the Great British Spring Clean was postponed until now, and some changes have been made. The council will not be organising any events, and you cannot sign up to join other events in the area, but you can organise your own. There is more Covid related information and guidance on the Keep Britain Tidy website, but we ask that you stick to social distancing rules, and as such we now have a limit of 6 pickers to be loaned at a time, and we will not be lending gloves.
