Events planned across Three Rivers and Watford during Great Big Green Week
The National Great Big Green Week campaign will soon kick off – here’s how you can get involved in the many activities planned across Three Rivers and Watford.
Film showings, litter picks, and sessions about local birds and butterflies are just some of the events happening between the 10 and 18 of June.
This is part of the National Great Big Green Week, an annual event that involves tens of thousands of people in every corner of the country celebrating the heartfelt, brave, and everyday actions local communities take to stand up for nature and fight climate change.
Some of the events happening in Three Rivers and Watford are as follows:

Cllr Sarah Nelmes, Leader of the Council, said: “Great Big Green Week is a fantastic opportunity to find out more about what’s happening in the district to tackle the climate crisis and biodiversity loss.

As part of Great Big Green Week, Three Rivers District Council will be taking applications for this year’s free tree giveaway (applications will soon open), launching a consultation on its Climate Emergency and Sustainability Strategy 2023-2026, and celebrating Clean Air Day.
