Inconsiderate parking on a beautiful piece of green space in Croxley Green will be deterred after the council installed stone boulders.

Three Rivers District Council has placed 170 stone boulders to block vehicle incursions across a number of key locations at The Green, including in front of the two pubs.

The boulders, which each weigh up to 300kg, were funded by Croxley Green Parish Council.

Cllr Sarah Nelmes, Deputy Leader of Three Rivers District Council and Lead Member for General Public Services, said: “The Green is a beautiful part of Croxley Green and to see vehicles churning the ground up, negatively impacting the greenery is unacceptable.

“Residents and local members were rightly annoyed by this, and so, I am very pleased that we were able to work collaboratively with Croxley Green Parish Council to find a solution to reduce vehicle access so that The Green can still be enjoyed by the community. I thank the parish council for putting forward the funds to pay for the stone boulders and for their effective and continued partnership.”

Cllr David Tobin, Chair of Croxley Green Parish Council, said: "This is an example of how, by working in partnership with Three Rivers District Council, we have hopefully found a solution to the problems of parking on The Green. Using our Community Infrastructure Levy fund to cover the cost of this project."
