Chair attends Mission EmployAble graduation
There were proud parents and loved ones of the interns graduating from the Mission EmployAble programme earlier this month.
The Chair of Three Rivers District Council, Cllr Stephen King, gave out certificates of completion and employability with other special guests - including the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, Pippa Kirkbridge - to 13 graduates who undertook the 11-month supported internship programme.
Mission EmployAble is a charity based in Chorleywood and provides training, education and support to help young people with learning disabilities find fulfilling employment.
The graduation took place on Friday 4 July at The Christchurch, opposite the Café on the Common where the charity provides some of its training.
Cllr Stephen King said: “The graduates and their parents and loved ones should be very proud of their amazing accomplishments and I wish them many congratulations and good luck for the future.”
Mission EmployAble's Founder & Chair, Katharine Weston, said: "As we look forward to the bright futures of our graduates, we are excited to welcome new interns in September. We know our fantastic café customers are looking forward to supporting and encouraging our new interns as they also become part of the Cafe on the Common family.”
Mission EmployAble still have spaces left for September. Please register your interest by emailing internships@missionemployable.co.uk and the team will contact you directly.
