Three Rivers District Council has made a public stand to end all men’s violence against women and girls by becoming White Ribbon Accredited in September 2023.

White Ribbon UK is the leading charity engaging men and boys to prevent violence against women and girls.

As a White Ribbon Accredited organisation, we will deliver a comprehensive multi-year plan to transform staff culture, systems, and the wider community in which we operate. This strategy will help eliminate attitudes and behaviours that lead to violence against women and girls.

Some of the actions that have been, or will be taken include:

• To employ and integrate a Domestic Abuse Caseworker (DAC) within the Housing Service
• Commission a perpetrator training program for professionals working within the home
• Raising funds for charitable organisations in the VAWG (violence against women and girls) area
