BLOG: Come along to a fun quiz and support an important cause

By Cllr Keith Martin

Chair, Three Rivers District Council

Since becoming chair of the council earlier this year, I have been doing my best to raise awareness of the devastating dangers of sepsis. I am pleased to be continuing this by raising fund for the UK Sepsis Trust at an upcoming charity quiz.

The Chairty Quiz Night is taking place on Friday 20 November at Croxley Green Community Club. I will be in the chair as Quiz Master, and I would be delighted if you would join me and bring along friends, family, colleagues and neighbours for an evening of fun, friendly competition and fundraising.

This is an opportunity to have fun, put your knowledge to the test while supporting The UK Sepsis Trust and helping to raise awareness of the life-threatening condition. The trust is a charity dedicated to ending preventable deaths and improving outcomes for people affected by sepsis.

By attending this event, you'll be helping to support the charity’s work in raising awareness, educating communities and improving outcomes for those affected by sepsis.

If you read my previous blog on this issue, you may know that sepsis kills more people a year than breast, bowel and prostate cancer combined. Around 48,000 UK deaths a year are caused by sepsis and of those who survive, it leaves nearly 80,000 with life changing after-effects.

So come along to the quiz, have some fun and make a difference for a good cause! Details below:
