Three Rivers District Council has not identified any possible traveller sites. The search has not yet begun. It will commence next year and there will be full public consultation on any potential sites.

A recent inquiry into the number of pitches/sites allocated to each authority has been carried out by the East of England Regional Authority. This included consideration of the situation locally where Three Rivers District Council strongly opposed the Region’s allocation of 15 pitches and supported the professional advice that only two pitches are needed. The inquiry did not consider the location of sites which is the responsibility of the individual local authorities.

A consultant's report, the Scott Wilson Report, written in 2006, identified potential sites in Three Rivers. However, the sites in this report were all rejected by Three Rivers District Council and are therefore not relevant.
