Three Rivers District Council in partnership with Hertfordshire Police and Thrive Homes have secured a Closure Order at Malden House, Oxhey Drive, South Oxhey, Watford.

Three Rivers Community Safety Partnership gathered evidence following a Police warrant at this property and the community complaining of Anti-Social Behaviour linked to drugs.  The Order was granted by the Magistrates on 28 November 2019, preventing anyone other than the tenant, their support services and emergency services from entering the property for three months. Anyone breaching the order can be arrested. This was following crime and disorder at the premises.

Andy Stovold, Head of Community Partnerships said: “Three Rivers District Council continues to take action against ASB, crime and disorder including cuckooing. We are committed and working in partnership with our residents, the Police and Housing Providers. We will protect our communities and these closure orders demonstrate how determined we are to provide safe spaces within Three Rivers.”

Nick Lillitou, Chief Inspector for Three Rivers at Hertfordshire Constabulary, added: “Three Rivers Community Safety Partnership will continue to take action against those suspected of being involved in drug dealing, crime and cuckooing and we thank the local community for supporting us. It is vital that the public continue to work with us by reporting any suspicious or criminal activity so that we can continue to build up intelligence and take the appropriate action.”
