New fun to be had at Barton Way Play Area

Play has become more fun for all ages as improvement works at a popular play area in Croxley Green are completed.
Children, young people and families can enjoy the new play equipment and experience new interpretation boards and habitats for local wildlife at the Three Rivers District Council owned Barton Way Play Area in Barton Way just in time for the Easter Holiday.
While children can have fun on the new and improved slides, trampoline, see saw, swings, monkey bars, and more, older children can play a spot of table tennis or exercise at the fitness station or test their minds at the chess table. New landscaping has also been undertaken that provides new habitats for the local wildlife.
Cllr Chris Lloyd, the council’s Lead Member for Leisure, said: “We were very well aware that the Barton Way Play Area was used and enjoyed by many children and families, so I am very pleased to see the new and improved play equipment be installed in time for the school holidays.
“I thank officers and the contractor for their hard work on this project and Croxley Green Parish Council for its financial contribution. The new and improved play area has some cool new additions that’s full of new adventures for children to experience and have fun with. I look forward to taking our grandson!”
The play area will be open from midday on 27 March.
