The newly refurbished play area in Skidmore Way, Rickmansworth is now open to the public

The newly refurbished play area in Skidmore Way, Rickmansworth is now open to the public.

The play area was designed following consultation with local residents, and their feedback on draft plans. It has both exciting play equipment for young children combined with comfortable seating and planting to keep a relaxing ‘garden’ feeling for all ages.

The Chairman of Three Rivers District Council, Phil Williams, officially opened the play area on Tuesday 20 November, to celebrate the area designed by HAGS Limited and project managed by Frankham Consultancy Group. He said: “The newly refurbished play area is fantastic. We wanted to make sure that children local to this area would have a lovely place to play in with comfortable seating so you can enjoy looking at the flora.”

Councillor Chris Lloyd, Lead Member for Leisure, added: “It’s good to see the newly refurbished play area. It reflects the community feedback for the play equipment and an enjoyable planted space for visitors. I thank all the residents who took part in the public consultation.”
