Popular interactive trail returns for a supernatural adventure this Halloween

Get the whole family outdoors this Autumn as a Halloween trail comes to Croxley Green – the virtual spirits have hidden their favourite artifacts, and they need your help to find them!
Following the successful Summer Trails, Three Rivers District Council is launching the Ghost Safari Halloween Trail at Stones Orchard Croxley Green from 20 October – 16 November. It is estimated that 3,800 players took part in the summer trails throughout August, walking more than 15 million steps in Three Rivers parks and open spaces.
Created in collaboration with High Street Safari, the trail provides an engaging and interactive experience which encourages people to get outdoors together. The Ghost Safari celebrates the origins of Halloween - when legendary spirits were said to roam the earth. The Ghost Safari is split into two unique trails. In ‘The Gloomwood Path’ participants will meet the tricky spirits of the land, while ‘The Twilight Coast’ route leads to mysterious beings.
The trail features 10 stops, with artifacts to find and collect by scanning the QR codes. New ghostly pals will appear in the real world with augmented reality. Selfies can be taken with the new supernatural friends, and a digital prize can be downloaded once all 10 stops in the trail are completed.
Cllr Chris Lloyd, Three Rivers District Council’s Lead Member for Leisure said: “It is fantastic to see how many people enjoyed our summer trails, spending time together outdoors whilst also getting their step count up!
“I am delighted that we are bringing the trails back for the Autumn as I strongly believe in the physical and mental health benefits of being outside and being active. These trails are perfect for the whole family – encouraging us all to get outdoors and have fun”.
