A series of Three Rivers health and wellbeing events has been announced, providing practical information and support within the community.
Throughout 2026 Three Rivers District Council will be hosting a range of health and wellbeing events across the district, featuring specialist speakers and local support organisations.
The next event will take place on 19 March between 1:30pm and 3pm at Watford Rural Parish Hall in South Oxhey.
The event will feature a talk from a Consultant Respiratory Physiotherapist from the NHS on managing asthma, and there will also be an opportunity to explore any barriers you may face to accessing support from the NHS and what could make this easier.
There will also be a number of local support organisations, including Hertfordshire Mind Network, Grand Union Community Energy, Herts Sports and Physical Activity Partnership and Rennie Grove Peace Hospice. A Three Rivers Healthy Hub Representative will also be there to provide information on the services and support they offer.
The events have been funded through a grant from the Connecting Three Rivers Fund, which funds projects designed to achieve the objectives of the Community Strategy for Three Rivers.
Cllr Steve Drury, the council’s Lead Member for Community Engagement, Public Safety, and Housing said: “I am delighted we are offering these free health and wellbeing events throughout the year, bringing a wealth of support and information directly to residents.
“Please come along to speak to the fantastic organisations and find out what support you can get to help improve your health and wellbeing.”
The events are free to attend, but booking is essential as spaces are limited.
