Prepare for fun and adventure for the whole family as the annual playday event returns to the district.

Three Rivers District Council is hosting the free event in honour of Playday, the national campaign that celebrates children’s right to play and highlights the benefits to their health, happiness and creativity.

With activities including face painting and inflatable games as well as an exciting visit from Mr Marvel’s Magic Show and the popular adventure play provider Play Rangers, the outdoor event is sure to be full of family fun.

The event will take place on Wednesday 5 August from 12noon – 3pm at King George V Playing Fields in Mill End, Rickmansworth. A range of partner organisations including One YMCA, Families First, Otley Way Family Centre and Home Start will be there, not only providing children with fun activities and games, but also supporting parents with information and advice.

Cllr Chris Lloyd, the council’s Lead Member for Leisure said: “It’s fantastic that we are hosting the playday event again this year – it is a great opportunity for families to enjoy some free, fun activities together, whilst accessing information and support from the fantastic organisations that work in Three Rivers.”
