National Play Day Event

A free drop-in play day event with games, arts and crafts, face painting and a bouncy castle

Three Rivers District Council is hosting a free drop-in Playday event on Wednesday 5 August from 12pm to 3pm. Playday is a national campaign that celebrates children's right to play in communities and highlights the benefits of play on children’s health, happiness and creativity.

Families across Three Rivers are welcome to gather for family fun at King George V Playing Fields on Wednesday 5 August 2026 in light of National Playday. Partners will provide age specific soft skills activities and games while supporting parents with additional information for their transition periods.

Three Rivers District Council’s leisure department have arranged a face painter, a bouncy castle, and Mr Marvel’s magic show, along with a visit from the extremely popular wild and adventure play provider Play Rangers. The Play Rangers deliver for children 5+ and run inside and outside of term time.

All activities on the day are FREE and will include team and wild play games, arts and craft activities, face painting, a bouncy castle, Mr Marvel’s magic show and much more!
