Book a home collection of bulky items

We offer a bulky items home collection service to help you dispose of unwanted furniture and white goods.

For bulky items (excluding white goods and TVs, which are priced separately), we charge a fee of £60 for up to three items. Additional items (up to a maximum of 10) are charged at £23 per item.

Residents who receive certain benefits are eligible for a 50% discount on two collections per year.

Items we can collect:

• sofas
• chairs
• desks
• wardrobes
• mattresses
• pianos (charged at £165) - these must be left outside your property and no discounts apply
• fluorescent tubes (charged as one item)

We cannot collect fixtures and building materials, including:

• fence panels
• bricks
• bathroom suites
• boilers
• kitchen cupboards

We charge a fee of £60 per item for TVs and white goods, including:

• freezers
• fridge freezers
• ovens
• tumble dryers
• washing machines

The bulky items home collection service is only available for residential addresses. We do not collect items from commercial premises.

Book a bulky goods collection

Please note that you cannot add additional items to a collection after your booking is confirmed.

We will collect your goods within 21 working days of receiving payment. We collect items between 6am and 4pm Monday to Friday.

You will receive a phone call two days before your collection to tell you what day to put your items out. On the day of your collection, you should put your items at the boundary of your property.

Did you know?

Recycling Centres across the district will accept your bulky items at no charge.  

Waterdale Recycling Centre accepts items suitable for reuse.
