Three Rivers District Council will be hosting an initial business forum for invited participants in July. This will focus on how the Council can work with local business to generate growth and employment prospects locally.

Three Rivers District Council is in the process of preparing an Economic Development Strategy for the area and the Council would like to engage more widely with the business community, by the setting up of a Three Rivers Business Forum. The forum will help develop the strategy, and establish some key priorities for the future. At the forum, there will be the opportunity to hear about what is happening in the area, including addresses by major local companies, the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and National Apprenticeship Service (NAS)

Cllr Stephen Giles Medhurst, Lead Member for Economic Development, Sustainability and Transport said:“We are very keen to get local businesses’ input and feedback on what the Council is, and could be, doing to generate growth and employment prospects locally.”

The inaugural Three Rivers Business Forum on 22 July will involve a select amount of larger businesses and supporting organisations that operate within the district.
