New welcome gateway signs welcoming people to the Three Rivers District have been installed to promote local identity in Carpenders Park and South Oxhey.
The signs are designed to clearly inform visitors they are entering the District, increase awareness of where they are, help people find local services or identify where services they have seen are located.
Cllr Stephen Giles-Medhurst, Lead Member for Transport and Economic Development, said: “The new signs strengthen the sense of place in these two important local settlements within the District.
“They not only welcome visitors and help to improve public perception of the area, they also increase driver awareness of where they are and remind them to drive responsibly.”
