A new £47,500 fund to support charitable organisations affected by Covid-19 has been announced by Three Rivers District Council, working with Watford & Three Rivers Trust.

A new £47,500 fund to support charitable organisations affected by Covid-19 has been announced by Three Rivers District Council, working with Watford & Three Rivers Trust.

Charities which have been affected by the impact of Covid-19 can apply for a Charitable Support Grant of up to £5,000 to help resume, develop or innovate their business operations.

The fund has been made possible thanks to an Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) from central government, a discretionary grant scheme to help the council support businesses and charitable organisations severely impacted by the national lockdown and coronavirus restrictions.

Cllr Sarah Nelmes, Leader of Three Rivers District Council, said: "I am pleased that Three Rivers District Council are able to provide this grant to support local charities and community groups to meet the needs of their service, and service users during Covid.

“This fund will help our local organisations deliver new ways of working and help them to resume normal activities as they recover from the Covid crisis.”

The Charitable Support Grant is being managed by Watford & Three Rivers Trust. Applications and expressions of interest are considered on an ongoing basis.
