Croxley Skate Park has had a much needed ‘facelift’

Croxley Skate Park has had a much needed ‘facelift’ with a complete refurbishment and is now open to the public. It includes an exciting mix of equipment including grind rails, quarter pipes and jump boxes along with ‘street’ sections. All aimed at providing a skate park for beginners to experienced riders.

This is a very exciting project developed through public consultation, so that past, present and future skaters, scooter and BMX riders have had the opportunity to input into the design of the skate park.  Freestyle, the park designers, and Three Rivers District Council Officers gathered feedback at sessions in the skate park, on-line and at Three Rivers House. All of the feedback received was taken into consideration to create the new skate park design to suit all types of users. Our thanks to all those who took the time to add their comments on the design.

Cllr Phil Williams, Chairman of Three Rivers District Council, officially opened the skate park on 6 March 2019, said: “I am impressed, this is an exciting space for the local residents to have access to. This state of the art skate park has something for all abilities whether they enjoy to scoot, skate or ride.

Cllr Chris Lloyd, Lead Member for Leisure, added: “It is great to see the new look to the skate park. This much-loved community space is adding to the Council’s vision of increasing physical activity and outdoor leisure facilities throughout the District.”

The park has been designed by Freestyle and project managed by Frankham Consultancy Group.
