Funds available to support small businesses
Businesses in Three Rivers are being urged to claim the grants that have been made available to support them through the current Covid 19 restrictions.
Businesses in Three Rivers are being urged to claim the grants that have been made available to support them through the current Covid 19 restrictions. Three Rivers District Council has already paid out over £8 million to small businesses and those in industries directly affected by the restrictions. The grants are aimed at businesses with premises in Three Rivers who either receive small business rate relief or are in the retail, hospitality or leisure sectors.
With many premises shut, businesses are not always picking up their post, so the council has a team of staff trying to contact eligible businesses by phone, email or social media. The value of grants available ranges from £10,000 to £25,000.
Cllr Matthew Bedford, Lead Member for Resources and Shared Services, said: “We know the coronavirus pandemic has made this a very difficult time for businesses. We are doing everything we can to support them through this period. I urge those businesses that have not yet responded to get in contact immediately and claim the available grants.”
