Santa needs your help! A magical flurry of activity has escaped the North Pole, and enchanting clues have appeared at two parks in Three Rivers. Each one holds a secret and a hidden letter! Get ready for a magical augmented reality (AR) adventure to help Santa by tracking down all the clues and meeting the secret inhabitants of the North Pole!
Families are invited on a free festive adventure throughout December. The North Pole Safari is an augmented reality story trail where you’ll hunt for clues, meet elves and magical creatures, and help Santa save Christmas.
No app needed — just use your smartphone to explore and play. Complete the trail to become an Official Certified Elf Helper and earn your festive e-book prize!
The trail can be found at Leavesden Country Park and Rickmansworth Aquadrome. Each location is split into two enchanting trails for you to discover:
- The Workshop Route: Journey into Santa’s bustling workshop and meet the mischievous elves and amazing animated toys who make Christmas happen!
- The Winterwood Route: Explore the magical forest outside the workshop to find the incredible, majestic creatures that roam the snows.
You can complete one route at a time or explore them both together for the full North Pole experience.
So, why not join the North Pole Safari between 1 December - 5 January, and help Santa make this Christmas truly magical!
How to play
🔍 Find 10 enchanting clues, like a messy toy blueprint and a giant, frosty feather!
📱 Scan the QR codes to reveal the North Pole’s hidden inhabitants in stunning AR!
🅰️ Spot the secret letter hidden in each magical AR scene and write it down.
🤳 Snap some festive “elfie-selfies” with your new North Pole pals.
🔐 Solve the password using the letters you’ve found and unlock your festive e-book prize!
How do I scan QR codes?
Most modern phones now automatically scan QR codes simply by opening your camera app and pointing at them. If your phone doesn’t have this capability you can download an app that reads QR codes instead.
